This page is designed to provide you with information and clarify how remote learning will be delivered for Pondu School pupils. Please read carefully and contact us on either of the two numbers below for clarification.
Remote learning.
Your child completing school work at home is not optional. The Government set out clear guidelines about what children should do when a lockdown is in place. Teachers will contact pupils in their classes who have not logged in to Eschools. It really is a simple process and we ask that children make contact daily via a message to their teacher. Work will be set daily for all pupils by their teacher. If you are not sure please message the teacher for help.
Zoom sessions with your child’s class teacher.
Each teacher will deliver three Zoom sessions for their class. The login details for the Zoom sessions are shared in the Monday morning notes from the teachers in Eschools. A virtual Celebration Assembly will also be held via Zoom every Friday at 1pm.
Key worker and vulnerable pupils.
We will contact all the pupils in this group to share the booking form. The booking form will be shared each Wednesday to be completed and returned by Friday. Please book for the sessions you will need for the following week.
Mobile phone data scheme.
You will receive information about this scheme. If you feel your family would benefit from having the additional data to allow pupils to engage in online learning, please complete the short questionnaire so we can send off the applications.
Free school meals vouchers.
All eligible families will receive Free school meal vouchers. If you have any problems please email Mrs Blaber, secretary@pondhu.cornwall.sch.uk who will be able to help.
ESchools Logins.
If your child’s password needs resetting please message your child’s name to one of the mobiles below and it will be reset to badger. This can then be reset once they have logged in. All other logins can be shared by class teachers. Please message them for help.
Using Xbox or PlayStation to access Eschools.
Mrs Jolliff has produced an easy guide to using these devices to access learning on Eschools. Please find attached.
The school mobile numbers are 07752 035 628 and 07595 912 653.
