Our school is a positive, exciting learning environment whereby our children are enthused about their learning. We provide opportunities for our children to take risks and challenge themselves in their thinking as well as in their actions.
Pondhu is rapidly raising standards and expectations. Staff constantly seek to improve their practice and in doing so provide your children with the best opportunities to progress in their learning. Pondhu is a unique and special school with the children at its heart. We create lasting memories for our children and ensure that their learning journey is enjoyable and rewarding.

What's new?
Can You Inspire Our Children? On Monday 15th June, we will be holding a Careers Day at school and are looking for parents, carers and members of our local community to come and share their career journeys with our pupils. We would love to hear from people working in a wide range of jobs and professions. Visitors will be asked to talk about what they do, how they got into their career, any qualifications or training they needed, and what they enjoy most about their work. You don't need to give up your whole day – even an hour of your time could make a real difference and help inspire the next generation! If you would be interested in speaking to our children on Careers Day, please get in touch with the school office on 01726 74550 or send a message here. Our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic time on Friday taking part in a STEM workshop led by the cyber security team from Devon and Cornwall Police. The children explored the wide range of devices that use the internet in our everyday lives and learnt why strong passwords are so important for keeping information safe online. They also enjoyed putting their problem-solving skills to the test by cracking codes and discovering more about digital safety and staying safe online. A huge thank you to the team for delivering such an engaging, informative and interactive workshop our pupils were inspired and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! #STEM #CyberSafety #DigitalSafety #Year6

We were delighted to welcome Kixx Cornwall in to school this morning for an exciting session full of energy, movement, and fun with our youngest children! The children in Nursery had a fantastic time taking part in a range of fun activities designed to build confidence, coordination, listening skills, and teamwork. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, growing confidence, and excellent teamwork throughout the session. Thank you to Kixx Cornwall for such an engaging and positive experience we can't wait to welcome you back soon!

FREE Breakfast Club Did you know our free Breakfast Club is open every morning before school? Children can come along to enjoy a healthy breakfast, play games, spend time with friends and have lots of fun before the school day begins! It's a lovely way for children to start the day feeling happy, settled and ready to learn. Spaces must be booked in advance by parents/carers.
