Year 4 - Hayle
Welcome to Year 4 - River Hayle.
The class teacher is Mrs Jolliff.
The teaching assistant is Mrs Menear.
Our new topic this term is Mountain to Sea. We have already started to look at the water cycle. We were very excited to make our own models of the water cycle out of clay with staff from Penrice School.
We have started to create water dances, thinking of different dance techniques to create different structures. Pictures and sounds have been used as our stimulus and we have worked in small groups to share and develop our ideas.
There has been a great deal of munching and crunching over the Christmas holidays, as we are collecting cylinder tubes in order to make lighthouses later this term in DT. We are currently looking at how electricity is made, and how to create electrical circuits so that we can put a working light in our lighthouses.
We like to practice times tables. We want to do our very best in our times tables check this summer. Click on the link for a great game!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Penrice School teachers to create these fantastic clay models of the water cycle. They were impressed with our use of vocabulary to describe the cycle.
