Outdoor Learning
We enjoy getting outside as often as possible and using our school grounds to extend our learning opportunities. Here are some photos of our outdoor learning.
Remote Learning
During Lockdown, Year 3 continued their amazing learning at home! In English, we used the Talk for Writing Home Learning packs and the children produced some amazing writing! In Maths, we followed the White Rose Maths scheme and the children also enjoyed practising their number skills on Sumdog. We also enjoyed new topics through the Oak National Academy such as The Shang Dynasty in History, Plants in Science and Keeping Safe in PSHE. Here is some of the children's amazing work.
Favourite Five
Across the year we have five favourite picture books and five favourite chapter books. We have multiple copies of these books so that the children can take them home to read as well as sharing them in class. We have story-time at the end of each day, where we read our favourite fives. Below are the books that we are reading in class this term.
Spellings
Below are a list of spelling words taken straight from the National Curriculum. The children's weekly spelling test will feature these words. By practising these at home regularly, this will really support your child's learning.
Times Tables
We learn our 3x, 4x and 8x tables in Year 3. We also recap the 2x, 5x and 10x tables. Please support your child to practise these at home as much as possible.
