The class teacher is called Mrs Newnes.
The teaching assistants are Miss Bain, Mrs Hadley, Mrs Whitehouse and Mrs Maskell.
Have a look at the parent information leaflet to see what we will be learning about this term.
We visited Newquay as part of our science work all about habitats. We had a brilliant time and enjoyed seeing lots of different animals, including the peacock who came to eat lunch with us!
We took part in lots of different activities on Internet Safety Day. We learnt about connecting safely with people online, our digital footprints and the top tips to keep safe online.
We enjoy exploring our school grounds and learning about nature during our trailblazing sessions.
In RE we have been learning about special books. We shared books that are special to us.
On science day we did four different experiments linked to stories. For one of our experiments we read The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle and investigated seed dispersal. We made large and small paper 'sycamore seeds' and dropped them from a height to see which one fell first. We also dropped them in front of a fan to see which one went the furthest.
As a healthy school. we did some healthy cooking. We designed our own mini quiches, which we tasted and then evaluated. We thought they looked and tasted great!
As part of our North to South topic, we have been learning about Aboriginal artwork. We created our own pictures using sticks to paint with.
We have been using our maths boxes to help us understand our new learning. We have used them for learning about calculations such as division and multiplication.
We have been learning about healthy balanced diets in science. In DT we designed, made and evaluated healthy fruit smoothies.
For our class assembly we shared some South African songs that we had learnt in music. We also played instruments to accompany one of the songs.
